§ Mr. P. ThomasRumours reached Her Majesty's Embassy in Manila about three weeks ago to the effect that two women were being held captive by pirates in the Sulu area of the Philippines.
It has not yet been possible to establish the truth of these reports, but inquiries have been made to discover whether any British subjects are missing.
