§ Mr. SandysIt is estimated that £4,380 was spent on agricultural research and £1,390 on extension work. The latter figure covers only half the salaries of two officers who, in addition to extension work, have other agricultural duties. Under schemes recently approved much larger sums are to be spent on research and extension work in 1963.
