HC Deb 25 October 1962 vol 664 c218W
Mr. Swingler

asked the Minister of Transport if he will consult the British Transport Commission about the payments made to retired railwaymen, with a view to devising a scheme of payments to all retired railwaymen which is related to the current cost of living under Sections 27 and 28 of the Transport Act, 1953.

Mr. Marples

Responsibility for the pensions of retired railwaymen rests primarily with the British Transport Commission, to whom therefore the hop. Member should address his inquiries in the first instance.
