Mr. Hayman

asked the Minister of Labour what local employment committees function in the counties of Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, respectively; how many chairmen of these have been employers' representatives in the last 10 years and how many trade union representatives.

In Somerset there are local employment committees at Bath, Bridg-water, Taunton, Weston-super-Mare and Yeovil. In Dorset there is a committee at Weymouth. In Devon there are committees at Barnstaple, Bideford, Exeter, Plymouth and Torbay. In Cornwall there are committees at Falmouth, Redruth and St. Austell. During the past 10 years seven workers' representatives and 12 employers' representatives have been chairmen of these committees.
