§ 67. Mr. H. Hyndasked the Minister of Transport what plans he has for providing new roads in Accrington and district to help in attracting new industries, in view of the increasing unemployment in that area.
§ Mr. HayAccrington, in common with the rest of North Lancashire, will benefit from the completion next year of the M.6 motorway from just north of Birmingham to Preston. A number of improvements are in hand or due to start shortly to trunk roads A.59, A.677 and A.6119, which link Accrington to the motorway, and to trunk road A.56 between Manchester and Accrington.
