HC Deb 27 November 1962 vol 668 c32W
79 and 80. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works (1) how many accidents have been due to cars skidding off the road in Regent's Park outside Cornwall Terrace since September, 1961;

(2) what steps he will take to correct the camber of the road in Regent's Park outside numbers 10 to 18, Cornwall Terrace, to make it safe for motorists and the pavements safe for pedestrians.

Mr. Sharples

Eleven accidents due to skidding have been reported since September, 1961. The Crown Estate Paving Commission, who are responsible for the maintenance of the road, have worked out with the Ministry of Transport and my Department a scheme which it is hoped will remove the danger. Work will be carried out as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I have put up special warning notices.
