HC Deb 20 November 1962 vol 667 cc120-1W
Mr. E. Johnson

asked the Minister of Defence how many retired officers of the three Armed Services, including the Indian armed services, are in receipt of retired pay under each of the seven retired pay codes; how many of those officers retired under the 1919 code had their retired pay reassessed because of war service; and in each case, how many of these officers are over 60 and 70 years of age, respectively.

1962 1960 1956 1950 1945 1919 re-assessed on account of 1939–45 War service 1919 Pre-1919

* The fact that this figure is higher than that reported to my hon. Friend in March last, is attributable to a re-examination of the number of cases under this Code.
