§ Miss Baconasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware of the number of children's homes which are not subject to inspection by his Department; and if he will introduce legislation to bring them under some measure of control or inspection.
§ Mr. BrookeChildren's homes which are not subject to inspection either by my Department or by some other public authority are rare, and I am not convinced that there is any real need to extend the present range of inspection; but if the hon. Member has any particular class of establishment in mind, I shall be glad to consider the matter again.
