HC Deb 14 November 1962 vol 667 c42W
Mr. John Hall

asked the Secretary of State for War why the War Graves Commission is moving its offices from Wooburn Green into London.

Mr. Profumo

The head office of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission is in London, where its main business has always been conducted. In 1939 part of the office was moved to Wooburn Green and the recording of the casualties of the 1939–1945 war was undertaken there. This work has now been completed and the temporary staff dispersed: the remaining elements at Wooburn Green are returning to the head office in London.
