asked the Lord Privy Seal how many countries have informed the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation that they will participate in the world-wide issue of Freedom from Hunger stamps to begin on 21st March, 1963; how many have refused to participate; how many still have the matter under consideration; and what is the position of the United Kingdom in the matter.

According to the latest information available to Her Majesty's Government, seventy-six countries have informed the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation that they will participate in the world-wide issue of the Freedom from Hunger stamps, while twenty are still considering their attitude. No details are available of countries which have declined to participate. The United Kingdom will not be participating.
