asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the number of salmon caught by all methods, including net and coble, fixed engines and drift-nets, for 1961 and for 1962 up to 15th September.

Fishermen are not obliged to make returns of salmon and grilse

a British nuclear device. We have had under consideration for some time a further test concerned with this device and arrangements have been made to carry out this underground test in the near future. This test is required for essential military purposes. I wish to emphasise that this test is in no sense the start of a new series.
