Mr. Beaney

asked the Secretary of State for Air how many aeroplanes are comprised in the Queen's Flight; what was their capital cost; what was the current expenditure on salaries, fuel, maintenance, etc., for 1961–62; and what is the estimated expenditure for 1962–63.

There are seven aircraft in the Queen's Flight and their initial capital cost was £530,000. Running costs in the financial year 1961–62 were £264,000 and in the present financial year are expected to be £314,000.
