§ 46. Dr. D. Johnsonasked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the anxiety created by the fact that patients in National Health Service hospitals are being subjected to scientific experimental procedures of a dangerous character without their full awareness of that fact; and if he will take steps to ensure that in all such cases full explanations are made to the patient of the nature of the procedure to which he is being subjected and his consent obtained to it.
