§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in the light of the Report of the Annan Committee 109W on the Teaching of Russian, he will finance a Chair of Russian at at least one Scottish university.
§ Mr. NobleThe recommendations of the Annan Committee are primarily concerned with the teaching of Russian in schools and establishments of further education, but in any event the founding of chairs is a matter for the Universities themselves.
