Mr. Boyden

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many boys and girls aged 15 to 18 years in his Department are currently attending day release classes; and what proportion this forms of the total number of juveniles in his Department.

Mr. Sandys

There are 17 boys and girls attending day release classes. This represents 85 per cent. of the total number of juveniles employed.
