asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance how many boys and girls aged 15 to 18 years in his Department are currently attending day release classes; and what proportion this forms of the total number of juveniles in the Department.

The number of young people currently attending is, for the 15 to 17 age group, 81 per cent. of the number employed in that age group, or 95 per cent. if those who have not yet entered on their courses or for whom arrangements have not yet been finalised are included. Far those aged 18 the number attending is 10 per cent. of the number employed.
