§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Postmaster-General when he will announce Her Majesty's Government's decisions regarding cigarette advertising on commercial television, following the Royal College of Physicians recommendations eight months ago.
§ Mr. BevinsThe present position, as my hon. Friend, the Assistant Postmaster-General, informed the House on 10th July, 1962, is that rules are now in operation which restrict cigarette advertising on independent television until after about 9 p.m., and which ban certain methods of cigarette advertising.
