§ 36. Mrs. Braddockasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what reply he has sent to the letter of 4th May 196, from the Liverpool city magistrates complaining that they must send young persons under 21 years of age to prison because there are insufficient places in detention centres, and asking for temporary accommodation to be provided pending the building of new detention centres.
