§ 49. Mr. Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the dissatisfaction expressed by a number of small bookmakers about the granting of an excessive number of licences for betting shops to large bookmaking firms, he will make inquiries about the relative number of licences granted to each group, large and small, as part of a general review of the operation of the Gaming Act, 1960.
