§ Mrs. McLaughlinasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many county and borough councils have adopted byelaws for good rule and government under Section 249 of the Local Government Act, 1933; and of these how many adopted these byelaws prior to 1960, and how many after 1960, respectively.
§ Mr. Fletcher-CookeUp to the end of 1960, 442 authorities had made bye-laws which were confirmed by the Secretary of State. Since then 115 of these authorities have made new byelaws which have been confirmed.
