§ 53. Mr. Owenasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that the United Kingdom share of world shipping tonnage has now dropped to under 16 per cent. and that the net earnings from foreign exchange from this source has dropped in 10 years from £200 million to £70 million; and, in view of these facts, what new proposals Her Majesty's Government has to help the shipbuilding industry.
