§ Mr. PowellIdentifiable expenditure in the financial year 1960–61 on the minor clinical research which Regional Hospital Boards may undertake is shown below. £61,000 was met from Exchequer funds and the rest from the non-Exchequer funds of the hospital authorities. This excludes research conducted and financed by the Medical Research Council, and research done in the course of treating patients.
