asked the Minister of Education if he will state the number of technical colleges in England and Wales at present recognised as regional colleges, the names of all such technical colleges, and the dates when they were so designated.

The following twenty-one colleges are at present recognised as regional colleges but I am reviewing the list in consultation with the regional advisory councils for further education. Seventeen of these colleges were included in the first list compiled in 1956, and four were added between 1956 and 1959.Brighton Technical College. Huddersfield College of Technology. Leicester College of Technology and Commerce. Liverpool College of Building. Liverpool College of Technology.
