HC Deb 26 March 1962 vol 656 c83W
Mr. Owen

asked the Minister of Power if he is aware of public concern about the prices of domestic fuel; and whether he will make a statement on his policy with regard to the price of domestic fuel in the future.

Mr. Wood

I share the concern of the public that domestic fuel prices, and indeed fuel prices generally, should be as low as practicable. Competition among the various fuels, including those provided by nationalised industries, operates in this direction, but each of these industries has to pay its way.
