Thomasasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the number of Inland Revenue office cleaners in Cardiff who will be dismissed when the contract cleaners begin to operate; what is the number of these office cleaners who have been employed in the service of his Department for five years or longer; and how much money he estimates he will save in his Cardiff offices by this change of policy.
§ Mr. BrookeThe present arrangements for contract cleaning in the Inland Revenue offices in Cardiff will give rise to no dismissals, and will produce an immediate saving of about £650 a year.
