§ Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs why the general grant to Bristol has been reduced by more than £250,000, in view of the fact that the expenditure of the authority increased by more than £1,000,000 last year.
§ Mr. RipponOn latest figures the grant for 1961–62 was £130,000 more than that for 1960–61, and the grant for 1962–63 £156,000 more than that for 1961–62. The grants for both the later years are subject to increase if the House approves the order now before it and the further increase order to be made later this year.
