§ 53. Mr. Fellasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will give an assurance to the House that the expansion of Commonwealth trade remains a prime aim of Her Majesty's Government's trade policy, and that, in furtherance of this policy, preference will continue to be given, in all our trade dealings, to Commonwealth countries.
§ Sir K. JosephAs to the aim of Her Majesty's Government I readily give my hon. Friend the assurance he wants. The methods by which this aim can best be 141W pursued must in future as in the past depend on the circumstances of the time.
