§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that the level of compensation for loss of earnings and allowances to members of local authorities has remained stationary since 1957 and 1959, respectively, in spite of the substantial increase in the cost of living; and if he will take action to increase these rates.
