22WIn view of the establishment of the Council, the Government have decided to bring to an end the Economic Planning Board and the Council on Prices, Productivity and Incomes. I express my appreciation and gratitude for the work of all those who have served on those bodies.
The Minister of Labour's National Joint Advisory Council will continue as at present. I am considering in what way the composition and functions of the N.P.A.C.I. may need to be changed in order to supplement the work of the Council.
