Mr. Russellasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will explain the circumstances in which Mr. Kathleen Mary Webber, of 22, Talbot Road, Wembley, who was charged at Hendon Police Court on 20th January, 1962, and remanded for one week, bail being allowed, was taken to Holloway Prison, where she was kept for the whole of the period of the remand.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerI understand that Mr. Webber was granted bail in the sum of £10 with a surety for the same amount, and that she was held in custody during the remand period because no surety was forthcoming.
