§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (Central African Office) how many African homes have now been provided in Nyasaland by the Colonial Development Corporation; and what plans there are for the expansion of this programme.
§ Mr. R. A. Butler1,328 houses have so far been built from the Colonial Development Corporation loan of £1 million and about 250 more will be built during 1962–63. This will exhaust the loan. Plans for further housing now under consideration are dependent upon the availability of additional finance.
