§ Mr. N. McLeanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what new arrangements have been made at Kyle Ferry for dealing with the increasing number of vehicles during the summer tourist season.
§ Mr. MaclayThe slipways at both sides were improved last year; a parking area was provided at Kyle; and an additional ferry—making four in all—was brought into service.
I understand that the British Transport Commission are satisfied that these increased facilities were quite adequate for the traffic last year and that no further improvements are at present under consideration.
