HC Deb 04 June 1962 vol 661 cc22-3W
Mr. Mason

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science, in view of the Atomic Energy Authority's responsibility in acting as consultants for the South of Scotland Electricity Board, what advice they have tendered to that Board in relation to the construction of the Hunterston nuclear power station.

Mr. Denzil Freeth

I am informed by the Atomic Energy Authority that, in carrying out their responsibility as nuclear consultants to the South of Scotland Electricity Board, they have tendered technical advice to the Board and to its contractors on the nuclear parts of the Hunterston power station, and on those aspects of the non-nuclear parts which affect the design and operation of the nuclear plants.
