HC Deb 31 July 1962 vol 664 c42W
35. Mr. Dudley Smith

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he has now considered the Pippard Report on Pollution of the Tidal Thames; what decisions he has reached on its conclusions; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Corfield

My right hon. Friend has considered the report and he is in general agreement with its conclusions. It has been necessary to consider the views of the Port of London Authority and other bodies concerned, particularly on the recommendations for legislation, and discussions are in progress.
