§ Mr. MarplesThe widening of Archway Road depends on the acquisition of a considerable amount of property and Orders under Section 9 of the Highways Act, 1959, may also be necessary. I shall need to consider any objections made by interested parties, and I cannot therefore forecast when work could begin. But I am anxious to get on with the scheme as quickly as possible, and I hope to include it in the first extension of the Trunk Road programme.
