§ Mr. Longdenasked the Minister of Labour what response he has had from the British Employers Confederation to his request for information about restrictive practices in industry.
§ Mr. HareThe question of restrictive practices was discussed at the meeting of my National Joint Advisory Council last October. The British Employers' Confederation then wrote to its member associations and, at yesterday's meeting of the Council, informed me that it would continue to encourage managements to identify and deal with un-economic practices in consultation, as necessary, with the appropriate trade unions. It would report progress to the Council.
