§ 53. Mr. Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for Air if he is aware of the discontent caused by the issue of Air Ministry Order A 159 dated 4th July, which provides for pay and marriage allowances to be paid in arrear; and whether he will consider its withdrawal.
§ Mr. H. FraserNo. This order comes into effect tomorrow and I believe that it will be welcomed. It means that warrant officers will receive their pay and marriage allowance monthly through their bank accounts. Suitable temporary arrangements have been made for the transfer from a weekly to a monthly basis.
