§ Mr. Denzil FreethThe Medical Research Council's programme of fundamental biological research includes studies which may yield valuable leads on the subject of migraine. Research into the cause and treatment of this condition continues to be undertaken in university and hospital departments. It is not possible, however, to estimate the cost of this work as much of it forms part of general programmes, including studies of headaches, hormone disturbances, eye disorders, and psychosomatic illness.
