§ 65. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Labour if he will hold an inquiry among workpeople engaged in the use of all forms of diesel oil for the purpose of ascertaining to what extent there has been an increase of lung cancer since the introduction of diesel engines.
§ Mr. WhitelawNo. I am advised that studies already made, including some by the Medical Research Council, have shown no evidence of any higher incidence of lung cancer among workers heavily exposed to diesel exhaust fumes than among the general population.
