§ 68. Mr. W. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider the introduction of some scheme of financial incentives to encourage military personnel in all overseas stations to learn the language of the country in which they are stationed.
§ Mr. ProfumoFacilities for learning the local language are already available through R.A.E.C. and they include instruction by local teachers. Troops are given every encouragement to take advantage of the arrangements without cost to themselves and financial awards are already made for three progressive levels of proficiency.
