§ Mr. Speirasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether, in view of the uncertainty caused by the delay in his approving Hexham Town Map and the effect this uncertainty is having on possible industrial developers, he will announce his approval of the map as soon as possible.
§ Mr. RipponMy right hon. Friend has already announced his intention to make certain modifications to the town map before adding it to the county development plan and notices to this effect were published in local newspapers on 29th June and 6th July. Anyone wishing to object to the proposed modifications may do so before 25th July. He must consider any objections before giving his final decision but he will do so as soon as possible.
