asked the Postmaster-General what applications have been submitted to him to provide cinema television; and what has been his response.

Proposals for cinema—and theatre—television of one sort or another have been made in the past. But since the issue of the White Paper on Broadcasting (Cmnd. 1770) only one inquiry has been received. No reply has yet been sent.
