§ Sir E. BoyleOn 1st April, 1951, there were 1,356 civil servants employed in the Treasury and on 1st April, 1962, there were 1,033 established and 324 temporary civil servants making a total of 1,357.
The cost of wages and salaries for the year ending 31st March, 1951, was £915,523 and for the year ending 31st March, 1962, the cost was £1,771,712.
