HC Deb 04 July 1962 vol 662 c58W
Mr. Iremonger

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he can now indicate which National Servicemen serving with the Royal Army Pay Corps Regimental Pay Office at Nunsfield Camp, Taunton, Somerset, will be required to serve an extra six months after their normal release date, and when they will be informed of their final release date.

Mr. Profumo

One National Service man of the Army Catering Corps at present serving with the Regimental Pay Office at Taunton is to be retained under the Army Reserve Act, 1962, for an additional six months. He signed an acknowledgment of the notice on 20th June, and has submitted an appeal against retention. No National Service men of the Royal Army Pay Corps serving at this office will be retained. A Regimental instruction to that effect has already been published.
