§ Mr. AmeryThe figures given below are for the 10 years 1951–1960. Those for 1961 are not yet available. During this period there was only one case of lung cancer among the Women's Services of the Royal Air Force, that of a nursing sister aged 40 who was invalided from the Service.
The figures for Royal Air Force males are as follows:
maintaining and accommodating relatives cannot be identified as most of it is met by heads of families from their pay and allowances. However, the £15.3 million includes about £300,000 to meet the net cost of hiring private accommodation for families and maintaining married quarters.
The only German contribution is for local supplies and services for the Royal Air Force in Berlin which is estimated at £580,000 for 1962–63.
