§ Mr. ProfumoUntil October, 1959, the Buckingham Palace Detachment of the Queen's Guard consisted of 30 all ranks, of whom 24 were Guardsmen, reduced to 21 all ranks, including 15 Guardsmen, when the Court was not in residence. Since that date it has consisted of 21 all ranks throughout the year.
