§ 47. Mr. Pentlandasked the Minister of Power what proposals have been put to him by the Central Electricity Generating Board, following the Board's first physical examination for a suitable site in the County of Durham for the purpose of building a new power station.
§ Mr. WoodNone. The Central Electricity Generating Board has told me that the present estimates of demand in this area show it would be uneconomic to build a new power station in the county. The Board has therefore postponed further consideration of such a project.
