§ Vice-Admiral Hughes-HallettWhether we join the European Economic Community or not the existence of the Community is likely to present both problems and opportunities for British shipping. In general we would expect any changes to be gradual. We are in close touch on the whole problem with the General Council of British Shipping and the British seafarers' representatives.
