§ Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many uncertificated teachers are employed in schools in Ross and Cromarty and Inverness-shire, respectively; and in which schools they are employed, giving the number employed in each;
(2) how many, and which, schools in Ross and Cromarty and Inverness-shire, respectively, are wholly staffed by uncertificated teachers.
§ Mr. MaclayOn 2nd October, 1961, the latest date for which figures are available, 25 uncertificated teachers were employed by Ross and Cromarty Education Authority and 34 by Inverness-shire Education Authority. I am sending to the hon. Member details of the schools in each area employing uncertificated teachers.
