HC Deb 28 February 1962 vol 654 cc157-8W
Mrs. Hill

asked the Minister of Education how many places remained unfilled in teacher training colleges in September, 1961; and in which colleges they occurred.

Sir D. Eccles

I know of no unfilled places. For 1961–62 the colleges again accepted as many candidates as they could and my provisional information is that the number admitted to courses of initial training was at least up to the previous year's record of 16,500.
